Tokafi - Seraphim Hallucino Review
|
|
"A glistening aural carpet shimmering in rainbow colours and smelling sweetly of psylocybin ...
every word spoken in sadness, every melody sung under a black sky, each crackling noise and tender whisper,
all guitar feedbacks and sustained organ chords over almost exactly ten years have become part
of an out-of-control memory trip through a burning brain"

"A huge musical puzzle for the ears...
I stake all that I own that you’ll not have heard anything so dynamically impressive before.
The first mandatory recording of 2007 that everyone must acquire."

"Completely immersive... the listener is dragged into another world.
In the end the recording feels like a Lynch film ... . I keep asking myself, how was it possible?"

"Like a bizarre movie for the head ... dark ambience, weird soundtrack elements,
industrial touches, avant jazz mumurs, noise, strange vocal traces ...
The thing that really seals this is the considerable musical and sound talent on display..."

"A highly psychedelic ambient trip... I can’t stop speaking in superlatives while listening to this CD. This is of pure and undefinable beauty. "

January performances . . .
Both Rochester and Montreal shows were a big success. Many people were involved in making this happen, with very special
thanks going to Martin at Angle Records, John Bershaw at WRUR 88.5 FM, Chris Reeg at A|V, and C.H. Appell at WITR 89.7 FM. It was a great collaborative effort with our good friends Eric Fillion and Sylvain Lamirande of Samarkande . . . music and ideas flowed freely, and each concert featured a joint live improv session by both groups. Could there be a release of this material in the future? Stay tuned . . .
